Opening account:
Rather good and easy procedure.
It takes maximum about 2 minutes,
and then you are ready to proceed
in the betting procedure.It requires
all the necessary info avoiding
requesting useless details.It stills
does not welcome you with a
confirmation e-mail(a point for
improvement). Our rating: 8/10

Transactions:
Τhere has been obvious improvement in
the recent years. So far they accept all the major
credit and debit card as well as bank transfer,
personal cheque and Western Union. A good
point for the punter is that William Hill has
extremely low minimums for deposits (just
2 pounds or equivalent for debit/credit cards).
The fee for depositing via debit/credit card
is very low(1%) which is among the lowest
among bookmakers.
William Hill is one of the fastests
books for withdrawals. Especially, if you
use your debit card the requested amount
will reach your card after 48 hours(nearly
perfect taking into consideration the bank's "valleur"). However, with the new VISA rules implemented on Jan 1, 2004, this advantage will disappear.
You are able to withdraw up to 2000 pounds or equivalent per day.

Navigation:
Navigation is OK. Makes use of frames. The top frame contains the main betting areas, Sports, Casino, Poker, Arcade, etc. The left frame contains the various sports on offer and the main links There are different ways of developing navigation methods, and WH have done it their way. It works OK.

Design:
Nothing special here. Simple, and functional. Easy to read the text. I'd say they have a very accomplished style.

Graphics:
Their site used to be quite slow, but this has improved a lot. No more fancy graphics, slowing the site down.
The response time is excellent. Furthermore
it doesnt ask you to log in every now and then as other
sites do,if you use it for hours.
Our rating: 9/10

Bet procedure:
Rather convenient procedure. You can have access
easily to different leagues and special bets as well
so you are able to combine your selections quite
quikly. It provides both the "fractionals" and "decimal"
odds. Additionaly you have at your disposal a
"save selecion" opportunity something that is useful
and for instance Ladbrokes don't provide. You have
a detailed betting record also. Two points open
to improvement are:it supplies stats only
for the most important leagues(german,french,italian
,spain and of course UK while it ignores the lowest ones
such as Portugese,Holland, belgium etc.) and it doesnt
provide a "standard" selection if you like to apply
a single bet to various combos. No email confirmation of bets. Very thin 8 rating.

Service:
Well trained-staff,courteous and flexible. They solved
me a couple of problems quickly being very helpful
over the phone although I am not a native
English-speaker.They changed my card details
in just a minute. They also provide live chat supprort
that can be proved valuable from time to time. The only
weak spot in this section is that they are really slow
in answering e-mails(it took them four days to answer
in a simple query may be due to the great number of
clients).I would give 9 for telephone service and 5 for
e-mail correspondance so the average is 7/10.
Our rating: 7/10

Reliability:
Little doubt could be expressed over William Hill's
reputation. You may have it heard from elsewhere
but if you dont feel safe here do not bother to "risk"
your money in any other online-bookie. Little to say
is much to understand.
Our rating: 10/10
[to the top]
Odds:
Certainly not the best you can found. WH seem to benefit too much on their good name to bother offering good odds. Rather low
odds for draws. William Hill's profit margin is over
12% in fact while the average is approximately 9-10%.
An additional negative factor for the punter is that
the evaluation of the odds is the most profound among
bookies. Very rarely do mistakes, hard to spot valuebets here.
In terms of that, this is a hard to beat-bookmaker.The only thing
that is positive is that they dont frequently change their odds which is something that can be proved of value for the punter. Only a 6/10 here.

Events on offer:
Οffers odds in a very wide range of sports indeed.
From snooker to politics and from baseball to
golf it provides more that you can imagine.
(claims that if you desire to bet in any sport
you like you can phone them and arrange it.)
Although something that is somewhat disappointing
especially for such a distinguished bookmaker is
that the special bets for football are limited only
to UK and other three major leagues excluding many
others.
Our rating: 8/10

Verdict:
Total score 80/100
High score, and William Hill is probably the best known, and the most respected name in the industry of bookmaking. They've been present since the thirties, and their reliable service has been the envy of any competing bookmaker. Will Hill is a huge company, the biggest bookmaker around. There are things to improve on their web service, though. I'd like to see an emailed confirmation of both bets and when opening account. The transaction part could be improved. Bet procedure is OK, but no more than that, and the service level of WH is normally very good, but has become slower as a result of a larger customer base. Reliability has been praised earlier in this review, and they also offer an astonishing number of events for punters to place bets on.
Perhaps too much attention on English markets, but nothing more than expected by an English bookie.
As you might guess, William Hill is highly recommended !
